In 2017 I was part of a campaign with Celestial Seasonings and Sprouted Kitchen author Sara Forte. This project sought to demonstrate the meticulous, hand-crafted approach that Celestial Seasonings puts into every one of their products. We documented the process of creating their Bengal Spice tea, starting in the mountainous regions of Northern Vietnam, showing how cinnamon is harvested with machetes from tree bark, processed by hand in small artisan factories, blended and packaged in Celestial Seasoning’s production facility in Boulder, Colorado, and eventually enjoyed in the homes of millions of people all over the world.
